Welcome to The Old FurnaceSuitable for one to three persons, The Annexe, in the grounds of The Old Furnace, overlooks a trickling brook as it wends its way past leafy hillsides towards the pools of Dimmingsdale and the River Churnet. It is situated in the delightful Churnet Valley, with Dimmingsdale (Forest Enterprise and SSSI) and Hawksmoor Nature Reserve (National Trust) both a five minute walk away. The Staffordshire Peak District is one of the finest areas of England for biodiversity. We proudly believe in safeguarding the environment, so we have equipped The Annexe with furniture and materials which have a low impact upon the ecosystem. Many holiday lets are equipped with 'easy-clean' plastic work surfaces and floors, not forgetting the plastic windows, plastic doors, plastic fixtures and fittings and plastic decoration. We will have none of it. We also run an organic garden.
